Le Fort Procedure

The Le Fort procedure is a surgical technique used to treat chronic sinus conditions, particularly when other treatments have not provided relief. It involves creating a permanent opening between the maxillary sinus and the nasal cavity to improve drainage and reduce recurring infections or inflammation. Surgeons typically perform the procedure under general anesthesia, and patients may experience improved breathing and fewer sinus-related symptoms afterward.

Benefits of the Le Fort Procedure:

  • Improves sinus drainage

  • Reduces frequency of sinus infections

  • Helps relieve facial pressure and congestion

  • May improve breathing and sense of smell

  • Long-term relief for chronic sinus issues
